How we fell in love with Peru

Peru, with all its endless beauty, mysteries, unanswered questions, the mystical energy of Machu Picchu and of course the land of many exquisite superfoods; was always on our to do list for travels. So when we attended David “Avocado” Wolfe’s seminar in Brisbane during his 2013 Australian Tour and learned that he is doing a Peru adventure in December, we didn’t think twice. What an amazing opportunity to be part of a group with like-minded people as well as being able to learn from one of the most knowledgeable guys in the field of nutrition, superfoods and longevity (no wonder he is called rock star of nutrition), there is really only very little he can’t answer! Peru here we come. First time in South America.

The destination of the trip was Cusco & The Sacred Valley, for me forever mysterious Lost City of Machu Picchu, spiritual connection to this amazing land and its people and to reconnect with our deeper selves. We knew this journey will be nothing short of magical and empowering. To top it all up was having beautiful, healthy, awesome vegetarian, vegan and raw meals full of love, goodness and superfoods, including cacao (coca plant called in Peru), maca, lucuma, spirulina, quinoa, prepared for us daily by very lovely and creative chefs Joy and Dahveed.
